Aniline Leather Dye Colors feature a water-borne penetrating dye for coloring aniline, nubuck and suede unprotected leather.
Excellent for re-coloring faded aniline leather. Ready to apply by wipe on or spray on methods.
1) Check color match by placing a small amount on the leather and allow to dry as color will darken slightly as it dries.
2) Remove stains as much as possible using Triclean Prep Cleaner (TC) and allow to dry.
3) Add 3% Super Link Crosslinker (SL7) to color and stir (1 oz per quart). REQUIRED
4) Spray or wipe a light coat of the aniline color on surface and allow to dry. Check for feel of leather and color coverage.
5) Apply additional coats as needed.
6) To increase gloss, spray or wipe a coat of Aniline Clear Base (AN) mixed with Super Link Crosslinker (SL7).
Note: Check that the leather will absorb the color. Place a drop of water on the leather. Wipe the water off after a minute. If the water absorbs or leaves a dark circle then the leather will absorb the aniline dye. If not, sand leather with 600# sandpaper. If the leather still does not absorb the water, then the leather has a protected finish. Use the furniture dye colors instead. Use a hair dryer to speed drying of color.
Always add: Super Link Crosslinker (SL7), 1 oz per quart of color.
